Signs, Lockboxes & Property Access

One of the first questions many sellers have is how buyers and agents will access the property. Here’s what you can expect.

Directional Signs

DUFFY Realty will provide you with a directional sign to help guide buyers and agents to your home.

Many cities, counties, homeowners associations (HOAs), and neighborhoods have restrictions on when and where directional signs may be placed. Because these rules vary, the directional sign will be left with you so it can be placed when appropriate and removed as required by your community.

Supra Lockbox

Your property will be equipped with a Supra Bluetooth Lockbox, the industry standard used by real estate professionals.

The Supra Lockbox is not operated with a combination code. Instead, it is accessed through a secure Bluetooth system that requires a paid Supra subscription.

As the homeowner, you do not have access to the Supra Lockbox, and there is no code available to provide.

Professionals who typically have access include:

• Licensed Real Estate Agents
• Most Home Inspectors
• Most Appraisers
• Other authorized real estate professionals

For security purposes, the Supra system records who accesses the lockbox and when it was opened.

Standard showing access is typically available daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

We Recommend a Backup Lockbox

DUFFY Realty strongly recommends that every seller have an additional combination lockbox with an extra house key stored inside.

Although rarely needed, a backup lockbox can be extremely helpful if:

• The Supra Lockbox experiences a technical issue.
• A key is accidentally left inside the home.
• Access is needed outside of the Supra system.
• An unexpected situation arises requiring immediate entry.

Having a backup key readily available can prevent delays and unnecessary service calls while helping your transaction continue smoothly.
