We utilized the Duffy Agency for both our listing agent and our purchasing agent. Before the process started we were slightly concerned because we had a good relationship with a ReMax agent in town, but figured we did not have much to lose by trying it this way. Upon the initial meeting, Duffy provided fantastic advice and resources to help us best position our house to the market. From the instant our house was listed, we had agents calling nonstop to schedule appointments to show it. It is going to be difficult for us to thank you properly for all that you have done for us; just saying it with words doesn't’t come close to conveying the gratitude we have for all your help in our home-buying process. We’re going to try anyway!

We started looking at online listings in January. We were cautious with the money we had saved and didn't’t feel as though we should work with an agent because we knew we would need to cover various costs related to closing and moving into a new house. We thought that, as the buyers, we would have to pay an agent a commission. When we called and spoke with you about a listing through Duffy Realty, you took the time to explain to us that as the buyer, we would NOT have to pay a commission. You mentioned Duffy’s Buyer’s Cash Bonus program, and to be honest, it sounded too good to be true. When you offered to show us the house we were calling about plus a few others, we were hesitant and skeptical. You hear so many things about shady real estate agents, and we were largely clueless as we set out to buy our first home.

As it turned out, one of the houses you showed us was one we’d seen on the MLS website and ignored because the pictures did not do it justice. In person, it was our dream home. You had taken our preferences and searched the databases and found this house for us. If not for that chance occurrence, I don’t know what we would have wound up with.

Considering our budget, we were expecting to end up with a modest 3 bedroom house and were keeping our fingers crossed for a decent backyard. With your persistence, knowledge, and experience, we closed on that nearly perfect 4 bedroom house with a full basement, fenced in backyard, and pool. Negotiations with the seller were a breeze, and we quickly agreed on the purchase price and contract details. Over and over, we would marvel about how easy and stress-free this was for us – most of our friends who have purchased homes have told us how frustrating this part was for them.

We look back on the whole process, from the first contact with you to closing to receiving our very generous Buyer’s Cash Bonus, and feel so thankful and lucky that we found you, Norm. On top of everything else, you knew the area well, answered all of our questions, and helped us set up the services we would need in the move to our new home.

When searching for a realtor to list our home we were taken back by the fees associated with such a sale. A friend told us to check out Duffy Realty and we were delighted we did. During the presentation by a Duffy representative we were at first a little skeptical about the thousands of dollars we could save. Upon hearing from others who had used Duffy in the past we decided to list and instead of paying out 6% commission to two agents we incurred a small fee for a lock box and only a 3% fee to the buyer's agent.

We've sold one home and purchased another one through Duffy Realty and were very happy with both transactions. I had already searched online for the homes I wanted to look at, so the Buyer Cash Bonus Program was perfect for us. My wife and I would like to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done for us over the entire "house hunting" process.  Despite a down market, and  thousands of real estate agents hungry for work, it seemed difficult to find an agent, committed to helping us find a house, due to all the "specific requirements" my wife and I were looking for.  It seemed like when we would find a listing, call the listing agent, they would show us that house and when we would tell them what are buying requirements were, they would fizzle out quickly.  It was as though the agents were looking for an easy sell or the "ideal client".
 
Well, I don't know if such a thing exists in the real estate world, as we all have different things that become important to us over the years. But what I do know, is you definitely did not run from the challenge.  You embraced our needs and wants as your own.  You took the time to actually "listen" to what we were looking for, and to my pleasant surprise, never got tired or frustrated despite the number of homes we went through.  I remember my wife would send you a list of 30 homes to sort through and as we drove by and realized at first glance that one or another did not meet our needs, you would say with a smile, "Well, let's try the next one!".  
 
I got to tell you Robert, a good friend and I were just talking yesterday about how customer service in this day and age is not what it used to be. It used to be that the service provider valued their clients and would do whatever it took to please them.  Now-a-days it seems more like an inconvenience for them to have to go out of their way just to provide the service.  What a good feeling it is to deal with someone that understands the true meaning of customer service - always professional, courteous, attentive, anticipating our needs and expectations, then going above and beyond our expectations to ensure that we were satisfied, 100% of the time.  I think the best part of the whole process is the feeling that we left the closing table with, and that is one of complete confidence that you had our best interests at heart 100% of the time.  To sum it up, we felt "very well taken care of".  Robert, thank you for taking such good care of us, never growing tired, maintaining momentum, and making us feel like our business mattered to you.
